    Kel Knight is a fictional character in the Australian television show Kath & Kim, portrayed by comic actor Glenn Robbins. He plays the husband of Kath Day-Knight and is a passionate butcher. John Michael Higgins portrayed his American equivalent (Philip "Phil" Lesley Knight) in the American Series, and his portrayal was highly criticized. Kel comes across as an honest, respectable, reliable man who finds out he has many talents throughout the episodes. Kel takes pride in maintaining himself, however to to Kath's extent. He has greased down hair and wears pants which are too high for his body, often showing his socks. Kel's main hobby is probably his job. He takes great pride in his butcher shop at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, and also loves to cook. Together with Kath, Kel loves to exercise and do aerobics. Her character has appeared on Multiple Australian Comedy Series including Fast Forward, Big Girl's Blouse and Something Stupid Before appearing on Kath & Kim'. Molly Shannon portrayed her American version in the short lived American series. Kath's character is considered an Australian Comedy Icon. Kath will return with The Kath and Kim Filum which is due to hit cinemas In 2012. The Idea for the series was originally grasped during the nineties while successful Australian shows such as Big Girl's Blouse had skits on them with identical characters of the same name. Kath and Kim aired first on 16 May 2002, and become a hit in Australia and Internationally. The series ended in 2007; Turner will return to screens as Kath in 2012 with The Kath and Kim Filum which will premiere in Cinemas Mid 2012. Along with her co-star who plays her onscreen mother, Jane Turner who plays Kath Day-Knight, Riley created the series and writes it. The Idea was originally grasped during the nineties while successful Australian shows such as Big Girl's Blouse had skits on them with identical characters of the same name. Kath and Kim aired first on 16 May 2002, and become a hit in Australia and Internationally. The series ended in 2007; Riley will return to screens as Kim in 2012 with The Kath and Kim Filum which will premiere in Cinemas Mid 2012. Kim appears to be very lazy and rude all the time. During the series, she is seen lying down most of the time or snacking. Kim often wears short t-shirts which allow her belly to show. She also seems to be bi-polar in what she wears, at some points she puts on anything (e.g baggy pants and a sweatshirt) and the rest of the time obsesses over herself in the mirror, basking in how "good she looks" in that outfit.     Sharon Karen Strzelecki is a fictional character on the Australian comedy series Kath & Kim, and is portrayed by Australian actress Magda Szubanski. The character first appeared in "Big Girls Blouse" in 1994 alongside the other two central characters, Kath Day-Knight (Jane Turner) and Kim Craig (Gina Riley). Sharon is sports-obsessed, and unlucky in love. In the American version of Kath and Kim, Sharon has no equivalent. The character in the American version was initially to have the name Debbie Cox and work with animals, however Szubanski put her foot down as the character was created by her and stated that she didn't want it to be ruined. Sharon is obsessed with sports. However, she is large. Her hair is Orange/Brown, and is worn in a bob haircut. Sharon has a lack of pride when it comes to her confidence, she is always looking down and seems depressed at times. Other times, she is cheerful and happy especially when she is playing Netball. For majority of the series, Sharon is seen in many episodes wearing her netball dull-blue cardigan with a light shade of white t-shirt.     Brett Dean Craig is a fictional character on the Australian comedy television series, Kath & Kim. He is portrayed by Peter Rowsthorn. Brett was married to Kim Craig (Gina Riley) from the start of the series. He lives with her and their daughter, Epponee Rae in their unit; however most of the time they are leaving with Kath Day-Knight (Jane Turner) & Kel Knight (Glenn Robbins), as they always are having problems. Brett's marriage to Kim contains no actual bond between the two; thus causing Brett to cheat on her on Multiple occasions (Even with Kim's close friend, Sharon).     Trude is a fictional character featured in the Australian television series, Kath & Kim and is portrayed by Gina Riley. Trude is a snobby middle-aged shop assistant. Trude has a friend called Prue, and they work a few hours a week in an unnamed homewares store at the Fountain Gate Shopping Center. The two of them like to pick on Kath Day-Knight and Kel Knight; occasionally Sharon Strzelecki and Kim Craig as they come in, but not to their face. Trude is married to a plastic surgeon called Graham, who never appears in the show but is frequently mentioned. Both Trude and Prue speak a strange non-existent accent that puts emphasis on "r", so they call each other "Trrude" and "Prrue". They also tend to say words like "grash" instead of great.
