    Scooby goes hollywood

Scooby Goes Hollywood (later released on video as Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood) was a prime-time hour-long television special starring the cast of Hanna-Barbera's Saturday morning cartoon Scooby-Doo. It was originally broadcast on ABC on December 13, 1979. A musical-based parody of both the Scooby-Doo formula and of Hollywood in general, the storyline centered on Shaggy convincing Scooby that both of them deserve better than being stars in what he considers a low-class Saturday morning show, and attempts to pitch a number of potential prime-time shows to network executive "C.J." (voiced by Rip Taylor), all of which are parodies of then-popular TV shows and movies such as How The West Was Won, Superman, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, The Sound of Music, The Love Boat and Charlie's Angels. Caught in the middle of this entire ordeal are Fred, Daphne, Velma, and also Scooby's loyal Saturday morning fan base; all of whom convince Scooby to come back to his Saturday morning TV show. The special was first released on VHS by WorldVision Enterprises in the 1980s, and is currently available on DVD from Warner Home Video. Scooby and Shaggy are filming a mystery episode of their cartoon while

Scooby-doo! and the legend of the vampire

    • Year Released: 2003
Scooby-Doo! and the Legend of the Vampire is the fifth of a series of direct-to-video animated films based upon the Scooby-Doo Saturday morning cartoons. It was completed in 2002, and released on March 4, 2003 and it was produced by Warner Bros. Animation (though it included a copyright for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, Inc. and a recreation of the 1968 Hanna-Barbera "Zooming Box" logo at the end). This is the first direct-to-video movie to have the flatter, bright animation style of the What's New, Scooby-Doo? TV series, departing from the darker shading and effects used in the four prior released movies. It is also the first Scooby-Doo movie to return to the original format where the monster isn't real. The series returned to a lighter tone than that of the prior four grim and darker movies. The film takes place in Australia and Vampire Rock, a rock formation shaped like a vampire head. There is a legend of a vampire named the Yowie Yahoo, who lives in the rock. The film starts at Vampire Rock where the "Vampire Rock Music Festival" is being set up. Many people are excited for it, but some don't think it should take place because it would anger the Yowie Yahoo. One such person is

Scooby-doo! and the monster of mexico

    • Year Released: 2003
Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico is the sixth of a series of direct-to-video animated films based upon the Scooby-Doo Saturday morning cartoons. It was released on September 30, 2003, and it was produced by Warner Bros. Animation (though done in a retro format resembling the classic 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoons). Fred's pen-pal Alejo Otero, who lives in Veracruz, Mexico, invites Fred and the rest of the gang to visit him and his family there. Fred and the rest of the gang talk about it until they decide to go. However, after Alejo sent the invitation to Fred, a monster started to terrorize the population of Veracruz. Both Alejo and his son see the monster, and the locals start calling it la chupacabra. Later, when Mystery, Inc. arrives in Veracruz, they meet Alejo who recognizes them all from Fred's letters. Alejo runs a huge and fancy hotel, and he shows them around and where they will be staying. He then shows them his family which include his wife Sofia, his mother Doña Dolores, his brother Luis, and Luis's fiancée, Charlene. Luis tells the gang he met Charlene when he visited America, at a theme park run by Mr. Smiley. The gang and the family enjoy a meal, and Dolores

    The barefoot executive

    • Year Released: 1971
The Barefoot Executive is a live-action Disney film released by Buena Vista Distribution in 1971 starring Kurt Russell, Joe Flynn, Wally Cox, Heather North and John Ritter (in his film debut), about a pet chimpanzee, named Raffles, who can predict the popularity of television programs. It was one of the "gimmick comedies" (geared towards children with a touch of adult humour for older viewers) Disney was known for in the 1960s and 1970s, and was frequently shown on the Wonderful World of Disney in the 1980s. A satire of network television, the movie follows the adventures of an ambitious mailroom clerk, Steven Post (Russell) at the fictional UBC Network who discovers his girlfriend Jennifer Scott's (Heather North) pet chimpanzee has the supernatural ability to predict which television programs will receive the highest ratings, in which he blows a raspberry to shows that will bomb, or claps his hands in applause to shows that will be hits. Steven smuggles the chimp into the UBC building when he is being shown various movies to show, and watches as the chimp gives his vote from the camera room. However his first attempt proves unsuccessful as the executives do not agree with Steven's
