The Guilt Trip is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Anne Fletcher, written by Dan Fogelman, and starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen. It was originally called "My Mother's Curse", but soon changed its title.
The story is about an inventor (Rogen) who invites his mother (Streisand) on a cross-country trip as he tries to sell his new product while also reuniting her with a lost love.
This is Barbra Streisand's first starring role since The Mirror Has Two Faces in 1996. She starred in a supporting role in Meet the Fockers in 2004 and Little Fockers in 2010. In late 2011 it was announced that the film had been renamed Guilt Trip and its release Date was pushed back from the original March 2012 release to a November 2012 release, which has now been pushed to December 25, 2012.
