    Crash and burn

    • Year Released: 1990
Crash and Burn is a 1990 science fiction movie. Unicom is a powerful organization overseeing most of the world after its economic collapse. They have banned computers and robots in an attempt to ensure "life, liberty, and the pursuit of economic stability." When a Unicom Synth robot infiltrates a southwest TV station and kills the manager, a revolutionary against the gestapo-like corporation, a lowly Unicom delivery man must help the rest of the station survive through the incoming "thermal storm." Crash and Burn was officially titled Robot Jox 2 in most European markets at the time of release, but renamed when re-released on DVD. Despite the title, same opening theme, and involvement of Charles Band, and reused cover art, the plots of Robot Jox 2: Crash and Burn and Robot Jox are completely unrelated. The movie was released on DVD by Full Moon in 2000, but was discontinued for copyright reasons. The DVD contained a widescreen print of the film. The film was later released onto DVD again through the Charles Band DVD Collection, released in 2006. The boxset also contains Meridian: Kiss of the Beast, Doctor Mordrid, and Head of the Family. The film will be released on DVD again by

His fun-loving, girl-obsessed friend and roommate, Wally (Grant Heslov) convinces Chuck to drive him to San Diego first. The Porsche is stolen, and Chuck decides to try to get it back with Wally's help but without involving the police so that the businessman does not find out. Meanwhile, Shawn (Karen Lynn Scott), a fun-loving Texan, has convinced her naive friend Michelle (Danielle von Zerneck) to participate in a beauty pageant. The car thief is a successful local businessman, Greg Krevske (Leslie Nielsen), who pledges the stolen Porsche as part of the grand prize in the contest; Chuck and Wally meet Shawn and Michelle, who are initially skeptical of the boys' story. The Barbarians is a 1987 American-Italian sword and sorcery film, starring the Barbarian Brothers Peter and David Paul. The film is set in a medieval-like heroic fantasy world. A tribe of peaceful travelling entertainers is attacked by the evil tyrant Kadar, who takes their queen Canary hostage. Canary, however, manages to hide her magic ruby. Kutchek and Gore work as slaves for several years and grow up as amazingly strong adults. They eventually escape from Kadar's fortress, and plan to come back and seek revenge. Meanwhile, Kadar tries to find Queen Canary's magic ruby. The Barbarians has been released on DVD in some European countries, such as Italy (on February 2010) and France. The original VHS version is long out-of-print. Intrada Records released the only commercial CD version of composer Pino Donaggio's soundtrack to the public.
