    • Year Released: 1982
Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a 1982 American coming-of-age teen comedy film written by Cameron Crowe and adapted from his 1981 book of the same name. As a freelance writer for Rolling Stone magazine, Crowe went undercover at Clairemont High School in San Diego, California, and wrote about his experiences. The film was directed by Amy Heckerling and chronicles a school year in the lives of freshmen Stacy Hamilton (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and Mark Ratner (Brian Backer), and their respective older friends Linda Barrett (Phoebe Cates) and Mike Damone (Robert Romanus), both of whom believe themselves wiser in the ways of romance than their younger counterparts. The ensemble cast of characters form two subplots with Jeff Spicoli (Sean Penn), an irresponsible stoned surfer, facing off against uptight history teacher Mr. Hand (Ray Walston), and Stacy's brother, Brad (Judge Reinhold), a senior who works at a series of entry-level jobs in order to pay off his car, and who is pondering easing out of his relationship with his girlfriend. In addition to Penn, Reinhold, Cates and Leigh, this movie marks early appearances by several actors who later became stars, including Nicolas Cage, then

It starred Frederic Forrest, Teri Garr, Raul Julia, Nastassja Kinski, and Lainie Kazan The characters themselves do not actually sing but the powerful score dominates the movie. It is set entirely in Las Vegas, on the Las Vegas Strip and the desert surrounding the city. Though the film realistically evokes the feeling of being on the busy Las Vegas Strip, there were no location shots used in the film. Instead, it was shot on studio sound stages, with the single exception of one space on the back lot for a "Las Vegas junkyard" set, described by a character in the film as being "the garden of the Taj Mahal". The evening of July 4, in Las Vegas, Hank (Frederic Forrest) and Frannie (Teri Garr) break up while celebrating their fifth anniversary, due to Hank's insensitivity to Frannie's yearning for adventure and excitement. They both spend a night with their idealized partner—Leila, a nubile and beautiful circus girl (Nastassja Kinski), for Hank, and Ray, a dark, handsome musician (Raúl Juliá), for Frannie. After their nights of passion, Hank breaks down and tracks Frannie to her lover's apartment and abducts

The Addams Family is a 1991 American comedy film based on the characters from the cartoon of the same name created by cartoonist Charles Addams. The movie was originally developed at Orion Pictures (which at the time owned the rights to the television series on which the film was based due to its ownership of the Filmways library). But due to the studio's financial problems, Paramount Pictures stepped in to complete the film and handled North American distribution, with Orion retaining the international rights (these rights now belong to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer through their purchase of Orion). The film debuted in Los Angeles on November 16, 1991. It opened internationally on November 22, 1991, to mixed reviews. It was followed by a sequel, Addams Family Values, in 1993. Gomez Addams (Raúl Juliá) laments the 25-year absence of his brother Fester, who disappeared after the two had a falling-out. Gomez's lawyer Tully Alford (Dan Hedaya) owes money to loan shark Abigail Craven (Elizabeth Wilson), and notices that her son Gordon (Christopher Lloyd) closely resembles Fester. Tully proposes that Gordon pose as Fester to infiltrate the Addams household and find the hidden vault where they
